It has arrived! We have entered 2020! Didn’t it come quickly – 2019 seems to have flown past. Now is the time to reflect on the wonderful things God has done for us all over the last year and thank Him for His faithfulness

Children’s church resumes again today with a slightly changed format. After the worship in church all the children will start in the lounge together for a chat and a story and then split into two groups, Lions and Cubs in the different rooms. School aged children will be in the Lions and younger children in the Cubs.

We resume our midweek meetings this week with a church night on Thursday, starting at 7.15pm in the church. This week will be a worship and ministry evening – come along and join in with the special time of worship. We will also have the opportunity to move in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and pray with one another. Other meetings will also recommence this week, including Wednesday prayer.

Thank you to all those stalwarts who attended the workday yesterday. Each month we hold these special mornings when we try and maintain our building and improve the facilities for the growing numbers attending. The next work day will be on 2nd February. Everyone can help so please try and find an hour or so to offer your support, thank you.

Next Saturday 11th January there is an evangelical event called UNITE in the Glendower hotel at 7.00pm.  We support this event every year. Steve will be leading worship and there is an excellent speaker. We encourage you to come, support the event and enjoy a great evening of blessing. On the following day, Sunday 12th, we will have their main speaker delivering in our church. What a fantastic weekend is planned. A second love offering will be taken at the end of the service for the speaker.

Ignite restarts on Friday with a trip to Hawaii! All children of school age are welcome to come along to this weekly activity club (6pm – 7.15pm) where we try and make a fun evening with a Christian message. We always end with a party “meal” which is greatly enjoyed and try to include food from the country visited.

The first men’s breakfast of 2020 will be held on Saturday 18th January starting at 8.30am with a guest speaker Paul Bye. Make sure you add your name to the list at the back of church, so we know how many to cater for.

HAPPY NEW YEAR. May the Lord bring you Blessings for the whole of 2020
